Crataegus monogyna | Hawthorn Hedging

Crataegus monogyna (but most commonly called ‘Hawthorn’), is a popular deciduous species, which is useful for security purposes due to its abundant foliage and thorny branches. Native to the UK, Hawthorn is extremely hardy and easy to grow, and bears intricate white blooms in mid-spring to early summer, earning it the other name ‘May-blossom’! Later in the year, crimson red berries will appear which are perfect for ringing in autumn!
