A beautiful show of foliage that changes with the seasons
Nicknamed ‘Common Beech’, Fagus sylvatica makes the perfect hedging plant with its abundant, ovate-shaped leaves. These leaves initially present themselves in an emerald green shade, before maturing to rich bronze in the autumn. Although the deciduous, these leaves will remain on the plant until new growth appears in spring, so they arguably serve the purpose of an evergreen!
